Holding On in Times of Crisis

This picture was taken in our village in 2026,
a gas station that has run out of fuel
Today I passed three gasoline stations, all closed with no fuel available. I had to drive about 60km before reaching another station, where they only allowed me to fill 15 liters. The price also keeps surging. Thailand gets much of its fuel, especially crude oil, from the Middle East. With the ongoing conflict and the possible closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the situation is becoming more concerning.

What I am thinking...

When the war will end? When a crisis like this continues, it is always the vulnerable families who are affected first. The rising cost of fuel, the shortages, the uncertainty... These are not just headlines. They are sufferings carried by those who already have so little. We may feel frustrated. We may complain. We may even take sides. But in the end, many of these things are beyond our control. Yes. What can we do? We pray. Yes we pray. Prayer is not our last option. It is our greatest strength. When we cast out burden to our Almighty Father, He cares for us (1 Peter 5:8). We place our trust in the One who holds all things together. In every crisis, Abba is still at work. What looks like lack, He can turn into provision. What feels like uncertainty, He can turn into peace. And what seems like an ending can become the beginning of something greater. When this crisis is over.. We all come out stronger. Better than before.. Breakthrough is coming.. Abba uses difficult seasons to grow our faith, to deepen our dependence on Him, and to remind us that He is our true source, not the systems of this world. We survived from the crisis before Remember Vax19? The Son said, watch and pray (Mathew 26:41) It was a command.... to be in constant communion with our Almighty Father especially in times like this. Stay in prayer. Stay in faith. Stay hopeful. Better days are ahead. Amen.
