Peace in Uncertain Times

Petroleum crisis in our community
March 2026

I want to thank God the Almighty Father for the peace we enjoy in our community. Sometimes we pass by this blessing without noticing it because we experience it every day. Peace becomes so normal that we forget it is truly a gift from God.

Yes, it is a gif.
A blessing.

But when we look around the world, where war is happening, we are reminded that peace is not guaranteed everywhere.

The Son spoke about these things long ago. In Matthew 24:6, He said, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.”

Even in our own community, we are beginning to feel some uncertainty. For five days now, the gasoline station nearby has been closed. Many people are starting to panic and store fuel because we do not know what may happen next.

But even in uncertain times, Jesus gives us a promise. In John 14:27, He said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

This means our peace does not come from the world.
It comes from the Son.

The world may shake...
Situations may change...
and uncertainty may rise...
but the peace that the Son gives is
                                                unshakable
                                                                   unchangeable                                                                                                                           and firm.
