Disturbing Incident Experienced By Nemi At His School

By Ianpassion
Nemi doing her homework

Last night, during dinner, my son Nemi was in tears, expressing his unwillingness to go to school. Concerned, we immediately probed the reason behind his distress. To our shock, he revealed that one of his teachers had not only shouted at him but had also resorted to physical aggression, hitting him twice with her hand. The first blow struck his back, and the second landed on his lap.

Naturally, we sought an explanation for such unacceptable behavior from the teacher. Nemi explained that he couldn't finish rewriting Thai letter activities in his book within the allotted time. Although he had diligently worked on the task and was close to completion, he couldn't keep up with the pace. The news filled me with anger, and I felt an intense rush of heat in my head. No teacher should ever treat our son or any student in such a manner.

The Keys Of The Kingdom Of Heaven

By Ianpassion
Picture was taken at Manang Viewpoint, Satun, Thailand

I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. — Matthew 16:19

The Word above came into my mind while I was heating my coffee and gazing up at the sun emerging from the hills.

We don't have to live a defeated life and slaves to fear. We have been given the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven--resources, protection, and power to unlock whatever is locked down or withheld by the devil.

Parenting: I Am Afraid Of Going To School

By Ianpassion

Nowadays our eldest child is acting indifferently towards her schooling. She behaves somehow opposite from last year that seems she enjoyed learning.

During school days (Monday to Friday), just this past few days every morning, after taking her meal, while wearing her uniform, and when she knows she is heading to school,  then she starts crying heavily. She does not want to go.

Relativism: Is There Really An Absolute Truth?

By Ianpassion

We are now in a society that if we are not careful enough we will be swayed away.

A relativist says that what is true to you can be false to me and what is true to me can be false to you. This happens when the sole basis of our values is omitted, the absolute truth is replaced with reasons, and respect to multiculturalism and diversity at the expense of compromise and apostasy.

Fears Took Over My Life

By Ianpassion

My life changed when I encountered the Father’s love. I was like the eldest son in a parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32). What I understood work is the benchmark for approval.

I used to believe that if I work very hard and go to bed late then the Father would love me. I thought I would be accepted if I performed well and produced impressive results.
