The 5 Most Beautiful Waterfalls in Satun, South of Thailand

By Ianpassion

Waterfalls are beautiful. And Satun has much to offer which I am always proud of. Here are the following:

1. Wangsaithong Waterfall is a limestone waterfall located in Langu district.  It has a pool where adults and children can enjoy swimming and jumping. Get a shower on its streams fall from each limestone stairs. This waterfall connects the mainstream called Wang Sai Thong River with a total distance of 8 km fenced with big trees providing shades to kayakers. It is impressively pleasant for rafting, feel like in Amazon. If time is not enough, there are bungalows available nearby. But if there is a hammock or tent available, sleeping facing the waterfall is best as well. Read more

2. Daokrajai Waterfall hides in the jungle of Khuankalong district. We need to cross hills and lots of curves until we reach the main trail. A motorbike or a mountain bike is the best transport to reach this place.  Leave our transport and carefully lock it in the parking lot. To reach the waterfall, we need to sneak the narrow forested route. As we are approaching, when we start hearing massive rhythmic pounding drops of water then we are near. We will come out from the jungle like a resurrection which right in front is a very steep waterfall. Going up to its peak is also possible. It has a pool where we can swim and dive. The big flat rock frontal serves as a base camp. Read more.

3. Wangtainan Waterfall located in the jungle of Manang - Phathalung. The trail going in is perfect for hikers and bikers. It is 2 hours to hike from the main road and an hour's drive depending on our skill and the weather. The trail is extremely muddy and slippery during the rainy season. The trail is cut by five refreshing streams of water. Fenced the trail are various wild plants, flowers, and trees. Sounds of different species of birds from branches are like the orchestra of nature. We will never hear such sounds anywhere. One of the highlights is to rest under the thousands of years old gigantic rock. At the waterfall, there is a flat rock where We can cook, grill, and dine. If we want more challenges then hiking its peak is possible as well. Sleeping overnight is best here so bring our camping equipment. Read more.

4. Tharasawan Waterfall hides in the jungle of Khuankalong District. The fresh streams of its waters flow from the preserved forest. Mountain biking is the best transport to reach this waterfall, but if we don't want to get a lot of sweat, then take our motorbike or our car. We need to be careful while driving because the road going up the hill is tapered and curvy.  In the vicinity, there is a camping base where we can set up tents and do team-building activities. If we don't like to sleep in a tent then there are bungalows and homestays available just nearby.

Located in the district of Khuankalong, this place is solemn and good to listen to our temperament. It is easy to reach without much hiking and sweating. From the parking area,  hike up for some minutes and we are already fronting the Sai Jai Waterfall. The streams of its waters flow from the preserved rain-forest which made its waters very invigorating.  The rock-stairs help visitors conquer its peak easily. Homestays are available nearby, just in case we run out of time.
