The World Changes, but Our Father Never Changes

What I notice lately is that the situation in the Middle East seems to have calmed down compared to before. At least from what we can see on the outside, life appears to be going back to normal again.

But honestly, it is becoming harder these days to know what is really happening in the world just by watching the news or reading articles online. Many media sources now lean strongly to one side, so sometimes it is difficult to know what is fully true and what is only part of the story.

Here in Thailand, though, I can see some changes with my own eyes. Before, people were worried about fuel shortages. Some woke up very early just to line up at gas stations. Now those long queues are gone, and fuel is available again. In that sense, things feel more stable than before.

Still, the effects remain.

Fuel prices are still much higher, about 10 baht more expensive compared to before the war started in February. The problem is that salaries and wages have not really increased, while the prices of basic needs continue going up. Meat, vegetables, rice, transportation, and many other daily expenses are more costly now because fuel affects almost everything. Many ordinary families continue carrying these burdens quietly every single day.

As I think about all this, I realize more and more that life in this world will never be completely comfortable or secure. Even when one conflict slows down, another problem can quickly rise somewhere else. Economies change, governments change, and situations change. But the Son had already warned us that in this world we would face troubles.

Maybe these moments remind us not to put too much confidence in temporary things.

At the same time, I am reminded that the Father Almighty remains faithful even when the world feels uncertain. Peace does not only come when prices are low or when there are no wars or insurgencies. Real peace comes from knowing that our Father in Heaven is still in control even when everything around us feels unstable.

The Lord never promised an easy life, but He did promise His presence. He said that He will never leave nor forsake us.

Sometimes hardships also teach us to depend on our Father more deeply.
Prices may rise.
The future may feel uncertain.
But still, our Father in Heaven able to provide, sustain, and strengthen His people day by day.

So while the world continues to struggle with uncertainty and discomfort, let us be encouraged to still choose to trust in the faithfulness of our Almighty Father. He never changes. The same God who helped people through various hardships in the past is still the same Father today.
