Trusting His Perfect Timing

Thai people generally love to eat raw vegetables, but there's one particular leaf they usually don’t include in their cuisine: sesame leaves. I’ve been looking for this leaf for a long time because I enjoy eating it raw, especially with grilled meat, chili sauce, grilled garlic, and rice. 

I’ve lived in Thailand for many years, but I hadn’t found it until recently, when my wife took us to a food shop that included sesame leaves in their serving. Finally! A simple desire, almost like a small prayer, was granted in His time.

This reminded me of the value of waiting for the right time. So often, we become impatient. We want things fast, easy, and convenient. But in the waiting, we grow. We mature, develop patience, and build character. In the timetable of the Father Almighty, there is no rush and no delay, only perfect timing. And when it is His time, He satisfies us, provides for us, and causes us to move forward.

As Scripture says,

“The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”
