Reflection: Astonishing Satun Geo Park

"Will you still go back to Davao?" a friend asked.

I paused for a moment before responding, "Satun is already my home; it is where my heart belongs, and where I believe I will die."

Satun has a lot to offer a person who enjoys wild adventure and a laid-back lifestyle, with its beautiful beaches, amazing waterfalls, green forest, delicious food, diverse culture, and ethnicity.

I'll never be sorry for settling down in Satun, one of Thailand's most beautiful provinces in the south. I am certain that there is a reason for everything.

In 2006, I visited Thailand for the first time, and in 2012, I visited Satun Province. Thailand, I believe, will continue to progress, particularly in the province of Satun.

I was thinking about the time in Joseph's life when he moved to a foreign land. He had nothing but only a promise. Adversities along the way could not deter him. He pursued His dreams. When the right time came, he was rewarded and blessed beyond measure, including the land where he settled.

Satun province was designated a UNESCO Global Geopark on April 18, 2018. The province contains the oldest Palaeozoic fossils, a spectacular island palace (Prasat Hin Panyod), pinnacle karst ranges, amazing limestone waterfalls, amazing sea caves, underground rivers, rafting rivers, the largest national cave, crystal-clear ocean waters, white sand beaches, and sandbars.

Diverse groups, races, and religions, as well as minorities such as the Maniq tribe who live in the jungle and the Urak Lawoi who live near the seas, coexist peacefully.

One of the Urak Lawaoi tribe's preserved traditions is the boat floating tradition known as "Loi Rue" in Thai. Tarutao islands, off the province's west coast in the Andaman Sea, are among the most important and valuable cultural heritage sites in Satun.

When I consider Satun's abundance of natural creations and resources, I can't help but thank the Father for allowing me to be one of its residents, enjoying its beauty and witnessing its development.

The video I've included in this post is reminiscent of the old hymn "This Is My Father's World." This song's every line extols His majesty.
