Photos: Van Station in Hatyai South of Thailand

By Ianpassion

Transportation District Hatyai, Songkhla, Thailand 2

Also known among Thai locals as Talat Kaset, this is the main van station in Hatyai City, offering routes to many major provinces in Southern Thailand.

If you arrive in Hatyai by train, bus, or plane, you’ll need to take public transportation or a Grab taxi to reach this station.

Once you arrive at the station, buy a van ticket for Hat Yai – Tung Wa. Ask what time the van will depart and which platform you should wait at. The fare is around 120 Baht.

⚠️ Important: Do not leave the van station while waiting, because sometimes if the van fills up before the scheduled time, it will leave early.

Before the van departs, tell the driver that you will get off at “7-Eleven, Manang.”

Don’t forget to remind him again before you arrive. Sometimes the driver may forget, and if you miss the 7-Eleven in Manang, he might take you to the next town, which is about 40 minutes from our home.

Here’s how to say it in Thai:

  • Female speaker: “Chan long tee 7-Eleven Manang kha.”

  • Male speaker: “Phom long tee 7-Eleven krub.”

Be polite and say thank you:

  • Female speaker: “Khop khun kha.”

  • Male speaker: “Khop khun krub.”

Smile and enjoy the ride with the locals! The trip takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours including passenger drop-offs.

When you arrive at 7-Eleven Manang, you’ve reached your destination. Please message us when you get there.
